New York, at your pace

Your responsibilities can be real. So can your need for support.

Life in New York does not have one pace or one story. You may be balancing a demanding role in the city, caring for family on Long Island, or living farther from the kinds of support you would like. Online therapy offers a way to talk privately without adding a journey to your day.

The practice welcomes adults across the five boroughs, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and upstate New York. These are virtual services, not office locations. You need to be physically in New York during a session held under Lorraine’s New York license, #091762; your location will be confirmed as part of care.

You do not need a polished explanation for why you are seeking therapy. You might feel capable at work yet depleted at home, struggle to stop thinking about the next demand, or find that a loss has changed the way you move through familiar routines. Those experiences are enough to begin a conversation.

The work, together

Support beyond the role you fill

For stressed professionals, sessions may explore perfectionism, anxiety, boundaries, and the pressure to stay productive. The aim is not to make you less ambitious. It is to understand what your current pace costs you and consider choices that make room for your health, relationships, and values.

If you are a caregiver, the work can include guilt about resting, family expectations, changing roles, or grief alongside ongoing responsibilities. For grief and loss, there is space for memories, complicated feelings, and the practical adjustments that can follow a death or another significant change.

Lorraine’s approach combines mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with day-to-day strategies. Culture, identity, relationships, and your own understanding of what is happening guide the conversation. You can learn more about these methods on the About page before deciding whether to reach out.

Planning your care

What if I travel or work outside New York?

Where you are during the appointment matters more than where you keep your mailing address. Lorraine also holds licenses in New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. If you expect to attend from another state, discuss the plan first so eligibility and continuity of care can be considered.

Begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation. You can ask about the fit, scheduling, and in-network insurance availability without committing to therapy. Private-pay and out-of-network sessions are $200; superbills are available on request, and reimbursement depends on your plan. Telehealth suitability and the next steps are discussed before treatment begins.
